ER Urgent Care Centers Adds Veteran Medical Director to Its Staff

MIAMI -- ER Urgent Care Centers announces it has added Demetrius Gonis, MD, to its medical staff as a medical director. Gonis has extensive hospital emergency room and urgent care experience, and his career began more than 30 years ago at Cook County Hospital Emergency Room in Chicago. He has also owned and operated urgent care centers in Naples, Fla., and was a professor of medicine at RushMedicalSchool. Gonis also served as medical director for Humana Clinics in Pinellas County, Florida.

“With the continued growth we are currently experiencing at ER Urgent Care it is vital to expand our medical staff with the most experienced physicians in the urgent care industry,” said Ronald Lubetsky, MD, chief medical director and board member of ERUC.
