MESA, Ariz. -- NextCare announces the grand opening of its Tempe, Ariz. urgent care Curry Clinic, scheduled for Sept. 17. Located in the heart of the university community, the new NextCare immediate care clinic's extended evening and weekend hours are perfect for Arizona State University (ASU) students and other members of the Tempe community.

As one of the world's largest urgent care providers, NextCare offers quality general medical care, occupational medicine, physicals/health exams, flu shots, labs and X-rays. Clinic specialties also include, but are not limited to: sexually transmitted disease testing, emergency contraceptives, allergies, sinus infections, cold and cough, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, pneumonia, dizziness, earaches, fever, rashes, bites, cuts, stitches, sprains/strains, minor back pain, minor breaks, illnesses, workers' comp injuries and drug screens.

Laurel Stoimenoff, NextCare president, expressed her excitement over the new Curry Clinic: "We have been following the growth in the North Tempe area and feel strongly that there are insufficient urgent care services when considering the local population growth and ASU's more transient population. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to serve this dynamic community."

The NextCare Tempe urgent care Curry Clinic will provide affordable, convenient and easily accessible healthcare to ASU students and faculty as well as the general community. A perfect alternative to ASU's health center, whose hours are more limited, NextCare accepts all major insurance and provides medical discount programs to those without insurance or those who are looking for additional savings. Eliminating the need for a trip to the pharmacy, the Curry Clinic offers affordable prescriptions on site. The Curry Clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"As an alumnus of ASU, I am thrilled that NextCare is a part of such a vibrant and dynamic community," says John Shufeldt, MD, JD, MBA, NextCare founder/CEO.

NextCare operates 27 urgent care facilities in Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina and Georgia.
