H1N1 Influenza Virus CodesChanges for 2010 ICD-9-CM would seem incomplete without new codes for the H1N1 influenza virus. This disease that has kept the world taking special precautions this year not only has a name, but has been assigned its own ICD-9-CM code. 488.0 Avian Influenza Virus (A/H5N1) 488.1 Novel A/H1N1 Influenza Virus Torus Fracture CodingA torus fracture is a compression fracture of a long bone, usually in children. Buckle fracture is a common term for this type of injury. The fracture occurs usually near the metaphysis, the region of a growing bone between the epiphysis and diaphysis.
