Wall Street Journal Posts Letter From ABUCM Chairman

In a response to a Wall Street Journal article about urgent care that ran in August, the chairman of the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine (ABUCM) wrote a letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal that was published online today.

The letter was written by ABUCM Chairman Franz Ritucci, MD, and received the headline “Urgent-Care M.D.s Are Certified.”

The letter highlighted the offerings of ABUCM and its partner organization, the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM), including certification programs.

The letter was in response to an Aug. 6, 2008 article the Wall Street Journal ran called, “Options Expand for Avoiding Crowded ERs.” To read a related news story, click here.
