Michigan Hospital Opens Urgent Care Facility
05/09/2008
Michigan’s St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) hospital recently opened an urgent care facility to provide non-emergency medical services to residents of the Pontiac area. The new Waterford Urgent Care facility is open evenings and weekends and — like all urgent care centers — is for patients with non-life threatening medical problems. The staff includes experienced board-certified physicians, SJMO staff members say. The facility offers standard immediate care treatments such as tending to sprains, rashes and sore throats, and also provides school physicals, wart removal and pregnancy testing. SJMO is a 428-bed comprehensive community hospital and is a member of Trinity Health, the fourth-largest Catholic healthcare system in the United States. Source: SJMO
