Retail Clinic Satisfaction is High, Survey Says
07/23/2008
American adults who have patronized retail-based health clinics are generally pleased with the service they received, according to the results of the latest Wall Street Journal Online/Harris Interactive poll. According to the healthcare study, most U.S. adult customers of pharmacy or retail chain clinics were happy with their experience. Ninety percent were “very/somewhat” satisfied with the quality of the care, 86 percent were satisfied with the cost, and 88 percent were satisfied with staff qualifications. The survey was conducted online in early May and included 4,937 people. Seventy three percent were “very satisfied” with the convenience of their retail clinic experience and 20 percent were “somewhat satisfied” with the convenience. The poll was conducted last year too and the results included a significant change: 42 percent of the survey respondents used insurance to cover their visit in 2007, whereas in the 2008 the number rose to 62 percent.
