Rex Healthcare Includes Urgent Care in Medical Campus
05/15/2008
Rex Healthcare and NexCore Group in April started building a 63,000-square-foot medical campus in Knightdale, N.C. that will include an urgent care facility. Rex Healthcare is a member of UNC Health Care, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system owned by the state of North Carolina. NexCore Group is a healthcare real estate developer. The campus will include diagnostic imaging, x-ray, digital mammography and mobile CT services, a sleep lab, physician offices and a wound care center. The campus is scheduled to open in May 2009, and will serve a rapidly-growing community. The campus is located at the corner of two highways, near many neighborhoods and retailers. Rex Healthcare executives estimate a 16 percent population growth of the surrounding community over the next three years. If that projection is accurate, about 270,000 people will live within a 15-minute drive from the site in 2012. Source: Rex Healthcare
