Conference: Ireland Should Expand Urgent Care

Lee Resnick, MD, president of the Urgent Care Association of America, was the keynote speaker at the VHI SwiftCare Clinic International urgent medical care seminar in Dublin last week, where he discussed how the U.S. urgent care model has saved billions of dollars in costs and how the model could lessen the burden on accident and emergency departments in Ireland.

Ireland has urgent care centers, but like in the United States, the system is relatively young.
